MOUNT PRAISES GILMOUR’S INSTANT IMPACT AND VOWS TO KEEP HIM GROUNDEd

loudvibes.blogspot.comWhile Mason Mount may have been the Chelsea youngster on the scoresheet in our impressive 4-0 weekend win over Everton, it was another Academy graduate earning plenty of praise following a second eye-catching display of the week.

Mount is still in the early throes of his Chelsea career but it is a fellow midfielder, two years his junior, who has emerged into the Stamford Bridge spotlight in recent days. Billy Gilmour was named man of the match for the second game running following another mature midfield performance, five days on from his equally impressive outing against Liverpool in the FA Cup.
After the game, Mount was quick to praise the impact of his fellow Academy graduate and his effortless step up to senior football.
‘That’s just Billy,’ he said of the 18-year-old’s easy adaptation to the first team environment. ‘I’m not surprised. I know what he is as a player and as a boy.
